Lists – A Funny Video

I posted on my list making and was glad to hear from the comments that I wasn’t the only list maker around other than my sister (another list maker).  I had also placed this post on the Planet Thrive site I also belong to.  I received a comment back that shared this hilariously funny video from youtube on Lists.  I thought I would share it with my fellow list makers.

I, too, write my lists at night and often from bed before I go to sleep of what needs to be done the next day.  Accomplishing things on my list makes me feel good.

  1. I make lists too… but only because I forget stuff otherwise. That said, I really get a kick out of seeing a list with everything crossed off. 🙂

  2. Definitely a list-maker here, too!

  3. I think I drive my husband crazy with all the lists he finds posted on every bulletin board we own =P You’re not alone!

  4. I too am a list maker…after reading Getting Things Done… I have categories, yet feel just like the guy on this video.

    • I have that book on my list of “to read” books. Gosh, if I ever get to just read. I guess I was oblivious (sometimes it is nice to be that way) to all that I have to do. Everyone said the work was just beginning once the book gets finished. OH MY. I was trying to make a mailing label list to use when I am ready to announce it. I tried and fought and fought. I finally have something done. It isn’t necessarily the way I want it but it will work. Tomorrow I am going to order some more binders and see if I can get myself organized. I may have to write a list (ha ha) in order to figure out what I am doing. I thought the video was pretty funny. Sometimes it is good to laugh at myself and my lists.

This is a follow up to yesterday’s post on lists. I found this video funny and shared it in March 2013. I hope my fellow list makers enjoy it as much as I did.

    LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. I tried making lists but I could never read my own handwriting or I forgot to look at them or I lost them. My son used to laugh when I tried to make grocery lists. He would wait until I came back and as I unpacked the groceries ask me “so what did you forgot on your list this time?” It never failed. I always forgot at least one thing and it was usually the main thing I went to the store for. 😀

  10. I used to think list making made me feel more in control, and when things weren’t in a list, I felt unorganized. I’ve been surprised that as I’ve gotten healthier – it doesn’t stress me as much. I actually stress less!! 🙂

    • Yes, I think that could be said for me. I also seem to struggle less when the list isn’t completed as I did back in the days when I was at my worst. I still make the lists, still try and get things done, and still feel a sense of gratification when things are scratched off the list. I am learning to be less judgmental of myself when I can’t accomplish everything on the list.
