Recently I have been talking with two of my friends who have written and published books: Jennie Sherwin – Intentional Healing: One Woman’s Path to Higher Consciousness and Freedom from Environmental and Other Chronic Illnesses and Jerri Hansen Duncan – Fences. Both of these books are available on Amazon.
I have been picking their brains on what to do and how they did this or that. They both told me the work was just beginning. After all, no one is going to sell the book or get the word if I don’t do my part. So tonight I spent an hour trying to get a mailing list made only to be told that my Microsoft Office trial was up and I needed to purchase it. Well, I don’t want to purchase another program so I lost all the time I spent on that mailing list. I fussed and fussed and finally figured out how to do mail merge mailing labels using Microsoft Word. After over an hour of going through my Christmas mailing list, my little address book, my Rolodex and then thinking of who I might have missed it is done!! Now my next project is to start drafting my letter that will go with all those labels.
Tomorrow I am going to buy some binders and dividers and see if I can make some sense out of what I need to do and where to put my lists. Now to put them into practice.
I sent this on to my fb page. Good luck. I did not try it, but it is a good idea.
When doing self-promotion, I have to consider all ideas and possibilities. Thank you.
Kathryn, have you looked at Melissa Foster’s programs in Fostering Success? She offers a great deal of valuable information for indie authors and the cost of the programs is reasonable.

Thank you for this information. I liked the page so I can get updates and follow along.
Yeah. Looks like you jumped the first hurdle. Be sure to put me on you email list…Angela.angchronicles@gmail.com
Angela – you are on the list. Yep, one hurdle down, not sure how many left to go.
