My Day of Rest and Fresh Air

I am back!  Yesterday was wonderful.  My husband and I took my daughter and the youngest grandchild with us.  His sisters chose to stay behind and go to a birthday party.

Our first stop was the Dennis the Menace Park in Monterey to let the little one run around a bit after being in the car for over two hours.  It was lots of fun and is an amazing park.  Sorry sisters you missed out on the new rock wall that wasn’t there last time we went.

Then off to the beach where we placed our blanket down and had lunch.  Brother got to run wild and, unlike his sisters at that age, loved the cold water rushing up on his tiny feet.  It was his first visit since walking.

The day was perfect.  It was sweatshirt weather on the beach with a wonderful temperature of 65 compared to our 100 degree temperature that we left behind at home.  And best of all, I didn’t have to worry about fragrances or anything else.  The beach was far less crowded than we would have expected on a Friday during the summer especially considering the wonderful temperature.

I could have stayed there all day but eventually it would have been too cold.

It would not take much twisting of my arm to go back today or tomorrow or the next day.  We need to plan another trip and get the sisters to go.  They love the beach.  Hopefully, we can plan a trip before school starts.
