Hello Everyone
I am glad I had a post scheduled for today. I have had a family emergency and will be absent for the rest of the week. I will respond to all comments when I am able to function well enough to do so.
My father had emergency surgery Sunday night and all my energy is being spent dealing with helping my mother along with my sister. Of course, this means time in and out of the hospital and you all know what that does to someone with MCS. My brain is foggy, my body aches, and my lungs burn. I am trying to spend as much time outdoors at the hospital as I can. It will be easier once dad is out of ICU and we know he is more stable.
Just wanted to wish you and your father well. Thinking of you.
Thank you very much Carole. It has been a struggle.
Sending you and your family love. Will be praying for you. Jennie
Thank you Jennie. We are managing as best we can.
Ugh 😦 Fingers crossed for both of you!
Thank you Allergista. I am so brain fogged and downright tired and achey. I am home for the night and won’t go back until tomorrow afternoon. My husband has a doctor appointment just down the street from the hospital so he will be driving me there and back.
Hugs!
Thank you Brenda.
Prayers for your dad to have a speedy recovery and for you to be healthy during this time.
Karen, I am doing my best by trying to spend as much hospital time outdoors. Today was made pretty easy because dad was sleeping a lot. Mom and I spent a lot of time in the outdoor seating areas.
I’m thinking of you and your family during this difficult time. May your father recuperate comfortably. Hang in there!
Thank you Christine. I am trying to keep from going down myself. I hope I am maintaining enough balance to keep from getting too sick.

Sonda, Yes I have been pretty absent. I am home earlier than usual and am too tired to do much and it is too early to go to bed.
A challenging time for your family. Take care of yourself.
MCS Gal, thank you. I am doing my best. We all know that despite how hard we try crashing and burning may be inevitable. I just hope that if it happens it isn’t too severe.
Praying for your Dad and for your health and strength too. I did the stay and help with my folks three winters ago in a medical emergency and it was rough! Hoping your folks have moved beyond the Glade, Febreze and Downy and that you will have a semi-safe environment while you are helping out.
Blessings,
Deb
Thank you Deb. Mom got in the car this morning with her tyvek suit on. And part way there I began to get a headache. I finally realized that the safer bath soap I had bought her must have ran out and she replaced it again with Zest. I have had the headache all day long.
My prayers are with you, your father, and family.
Thank you so much quirkywritingcorner.
I went through similar with my Mom in February so I know a little about how things are for you right now. Sending much love and healing strength during this stressful time. Jak x
Thank you so much Jak. Good to know I am not alone.
Thoughts & prayers for you and your family, Kathryn. XO
Thank you Bette. We hope he is out of ICU soon and into a regular room.
My prayers are with you and you’re family. 😀
Thank you Colleen. Dad is still in ICU and having a difficult time rallying around. I am afraid it is going to be another long week. I will pop in and out as much as I can.
Hi Kathryn, You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. xoxo
Thank you Danica. It has been an especially difficult and emotional day.
