Absence/Family Emergency

Hello Everyone

I am glad I had a post scheduled for today.  I have had a family emergency and will be absent for the rest of the week.  I will respond to all comments when I am able to function well enough to do so.

My father had emergency surgery Sunday night and all my energy is being spent dealing with helping my mother along with my sister.  Of course, this means time in and out of the hospital and you all know what that does to someone with MCS.  My brain is foggy, my body aches, and my lungs burn.  I am trying to spend as much time outdoors at the hospital as I can.  It will be easier once dad is out of ICU and we know he is more stable.

    • Thank you Allergista. I am so brain fogged and downright tired and achey. I am home for the night and won’t go back until tomorrow afternoon. My husband has a doctor appointment just down the street from the hospital so he will be driving me there and back.

  9. Praying for your Dad and for your health and strength too. I did the stay and help with my folks three winters ago in a medical emergency and it was rough! Hoping your folks have moved beyond the Glade, Febreze and Downy and that you will have a semi-safe environment while you are helping out.

    Blessings,

    Deb

    • Thank you Deb. Mom got in the car this morning with her tyvek suit on. And part way there I began to get a headache. I finally realized that the safer bath soap I had bought her must have ran out and she replaced it again with Zest. I have had the headache all day long.

  10. My prayers are with you, your father, and family.

  11. I went through similar with my Mom in February so I know a little about how things are for you right now. Sending much love and healing strength during this stressful time. Jak x
